Scope: one straight fillet weld under load at a single orientation (equal-leg fillet,
effective throat = 0.707 × leg). The directional term (1 + 0.50 sin1.5θ) is included
(θ = 0° longitudinal, 90° transverse). A matched electrode is assumed. Weld groups, eccentric /
instantaneous-centre analysis, and unequal-leg fillets are NOT covered.
