Standard Channels (C) - C380x74

Standard Channels (C-shapes) are one of the most recognisable Canadian structural profiles — a C-shaped cross-section with a web and two flanges that taper slightly on their inner face, sized and proportioned to CISC 12 under CSA G40.21 steel grades. Because the flanges only project from one side of the web, channels are a natural choice anywhere you need a stiff member with a flat, unobstructed face — door and window framing, purlins and girts in light industrial buildings, ledger and edge members in platforms and mezzanines, and paired back-to-back to form boxed sections for columns or bracing. Every C-shape on this site, from the smallest C75 up to the largest C380 sections, is available as a free CAD block, with full dimension and property data drawn from the CISC Structural Section Tables.
