Square Hollow Structural Sections to CSA G40.21 are the Canadian-grade square HSS family — a closed, symmetrical profile that resists bending equally about both axes and offers strong torsional performance for columns, bracing and truss members. Their flat faces make them easy to weld and bolt, and their clean lines are a popular choice for exposed architectural steel as well as everyday framing. Every section in this CSA G40 square family is available as a free CAD block, with outside dimensions, wall thickness and corner radii drawn from CISC 12.
